Came across this excellent article that I urge you to share with your daughters.
The author addresses her post to the “15 year old me:” it contains “the things I wish someone would have told me,” she says. Absolutely right!
**It would make a great evening discussion with late teen girls — and MOST ESPECIALLY with college-bound or college-aged girls you know…and love.
(Yes, the email with this article has already gone out to our 18 year old… our 20 year old…and our 23 year old daughters! It went to them from their DAD, though! He beat me to it–kinda sweet, huh?)
Here’s the link to read the article–and then can I ask:
When you finish reading it, could you come back here for some recommendations from a mother of 7 girls, please?
[A few minutes later….after you’ve read…and perhaps printed!]
Now that you’ve finished reading the post:
Please consider sending to your beloved girls and women any of these books below which are “daughter-approved” and “mom-and-dad recommended” to help them learn how to wage these battles and persevere when they feel alone…so they can emerge victorious to experience the love and joy and trials (!) of aiming for Heaven with a husband by their side:

#2 How to Find your Soulmate without losing your Soul: Click here.
#3 And get them this GREAT Catholic Study Bible if they don’t have one (we give this to every child at Confirmation–including godchildren); the “extras” and explanations of Catholic dogmas and doctrines and practices will mean so much when they are challenged after they leave home. Happy Easter!

FYI – Years ago I researched why “the heavens declare the glory of God…” yet Astrology is bad news. I learned and wrote a book on the subject of the whole plan of salvation being written in the stars. Here’s a link to the book review; http://www.webcommentary.com/php/ShowArticle.php?id=toddgv&date=121130
How else could the promise of a Redeemer by passed along from Adam and Eve through many millennia to the Prophets?
The Star of Bethlehem was traced through modern astronomy software as well as the presence to two stars in Aries the Lamb visible next to the darkened sun as Jesus died. “The wounded” and “The bruised.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AH8K9i7P3jw&feature=youtu.be
From that I learned the stars on the mantle of Our Lady of Guadalupe were those visible on 12/12/1531 and tell a story – like the constellation Leo resting on her pregnant womb.
These truths may become essential again as we face a great darkness.
Raise you son to be a gentleman and raise your daughter to accept nothing less.
