9 Promises of the “Devil Chasing Medal”

Do you know the power of the St. Benedict medal? Few people do.

In 1964, Pope Paul VI declared that any priest could bestow the special blessing of the St. Benedict medal (which has been blessed with a unique exorcism prayer since 1741!) to help make its protection more readily available to the faithful.

Known as the “Devil Chasing Medal,” the St. Benedict medal has the power:

1. To destroy witchcraft and all other diabolical influences;
2. To keep away the influences of wicked and evil-minded persons;
3. To impart protection to persons tempted, deluded, or tormented by evil spirits;
4. To obtain the conversion of sinners into the Catholic Church, especially when they are in danger of death;
5. To serve as an armor against temptation, especially temptations again purity;
6. To destroy the effects of poison;
7. To secure a timely and healthy birth for children;
8. To afford protection against storms and lightning;
9. To serve as an efficacious remedy for bodily afflictions and a means of protection against contagious diseases.

This powerful (and little known) sacramental is not “magic,” but rather a way of accepting graces due to our faith in Jesus Christ and the powerful intercessory prayers of St. Benedict.

We realized that more families need to be aware of this important sacramental and utilize it to protect themselves (especially while their children are still young).

We found this standing St. Benedict medal that can be easily placed on a home altar, by your front door, in your kitchen…wherever your family will pass by daily and acknowledge.

BUT REMEMBER: you must have this St. Benedict medal BLESSED by a priest (he does not have to be a member of the Benedictine order). Since many priests are not necessarily versed in this special blessing, we include a large card with the complete blessing for you to bring with your medal so your priest knows exactly what to say and do. 

We have included both the standing St. Benedict medal and card with additional resources for the official home blessing of the Catholic Church (traditionally done on Epiphany, but can be done at ANY TIME during the year).
