Read down below to learn what happened when Amy did this (and her 4 yr old also plays a part in this episode), but first:
Today is a fun FEAST DAY: November 3
Known as the Apostle of Charity … patron of barbers (really!) … miraculous healer of the sick … and helper in hopeless cases …Martin also spoke to the animals (wait until you hear the conversation!) … and worked many unusual miracles.
Awe-inspiring, his story is one of the most humorous Glory Stories we’ve ever made–you and your children will love it! It’s on sale today as the “Deal of the Day” on our website.
ALSO ON THIS CD
A Sparrow in God’s Hand – St Clare: Inspired by St. Francis and his ideal of holy poverty, Clare left everything to follow Christ. She founded the religious order, the Poor Clares.

Jennifer (Houston, TX) emailed us about St Martin de Porres:
“This CD isn’t just well-done; it’s a Godsend. When my kids and I listen to this together, I can’t help crying– not just because the product is so good but because the vision behind it is extraordinary. Kids (and whole families) are tasting the JOY of the faith because of these stories coming alive, as they should, in our imaginations and hearts and lives.”
Amy told us that:
“On a whim, I put on the Glory Stories vol 7 (St Martin de Porres) CD as my 6-1/2 year old colored a picture. Despite his initial “I don’t WANT to listen to this”, he had migrated to the living room to hear it better less than 15 minutes in, completely forgetting about his coloring page! By the end of the St. Martin story, he was calmly sitting on the living room floor and stayed there through the story of St. Clare. Even more amazing, my 4-year-old ‘blur’ of energy was calmly sitting and listening too!!”
A military mom overseas said:
“One of the nicest things about Glory Stories is that they begin when these saints were “just regular people” and show how, little by little, they learned their faith and desired to share it, and God blessed them for that. If I had to pick one word to describe the Glory Stories, it would be “encouraging!”
Cara from Calgary, Canada thanked us:
“Our nieces are 6 and 8, and this was great for them to listen to in the car…keeps them entertained without the need for a DVD.”
Ken Davison created Glory Stories, which became a weekly radio series heard globally on the Ave Maria Satellite Radio Network and EWTN’s radio network, WEWN. In 2007, he and his wife, Kerri, founded Holy Heroes–and their children stepped in to help shortly thereafter to create the online “Adventures” for Advent, Lent, Spiritual Adoption, and Marian Consecration.
Your Glory Stories are wonderful! Since it’s the big 5TH Centennial celebration year for our “Doctor of Prayer”, St. Teresa of Avila (also St. Teresa of Jesus), I would love to see a Glory Story produced to honor God for her. Just a thought, after all 500 years & still helping to bring souls to God is awesome…..and can be kid-friendly because she is the one who says prayer is talking to our “friend”, Jesus. The jubilee year ends March 28th, St. T’s birthday…….you still have time. God bless!
She always comes up–we have some others in the queue ahead of her, though! Thanks for the suggestion.
