Can the Pope compete in the Olympics? 🤺

Could Pope John Paul II have competed in the Winter Games as an Olympic skier for Vatican City? 

Could the Swiss Guards be bringing home the gold in fencing?

These are questions that have nagged me for years so I finally looked into it and unfortunately, Vatican City is currently ineligible to compete in the Olympics as it does not have a National Olympic Committee.

Perhaps this will change in the years to come, but for right now, we want to hear from you:

Many bishops requested prayers of reparation for the blasphemy at the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics.

A recommended prayer of reparation is the short prayer to the Heart of Jesus Truly Present in the Holy Eucharist: The Divine Praises.
