Holy Week Kit: 4 Resources for the Family

Everything you need to keep your family focused during the final week leading up to Easter Sunday. 

At the end of Lent, Holy Week can feel like the insurmountable sprint to the end when you are already burnt out.

Rather than add to the overwhelm, our Holy Week Kit provides families with 4 meaningful resources that will help KIDS engage with these important days in a prayerful way. Use these resources to ENGAGE kids with the additional Masses and services available during Holy Week and help them participate more fully.

Here is how to use the Holy Week Kit:

First, we begin on Palm Sunday by diving into the Lenten Adventure Activity Book. This activity book includes 64 pages of daily activities that can be used by kids ages 5-10 years old from Palm Sunday through Divine Mercy Sunday (yes, 2 weeks of resources)! Your children aged 5 & up will learn about:

• Palm Sunday and Holy Week
• The Paschal Triduum and the Church’s special practices for Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday (which you can bring into your home!)
• Learn where the events of Jesus’ Passion occurred–with an easy map of Jerusalem!
• The institution by Jesus of three Sacraments: Ordination, the Eucharist, and Confession
• The story of Saint Faustina and the Divine Mercy chaplet (and you’ll be guided day-by-day through the Divine Mercy Novena given to Saint Faustina by Our Lord)!
• The joy of the Easter Octave which begins with Easter Vigil!
• A special insert suitable for posting with all the Stations of the Cross!
• And much more through daily activities suitable for all ages!

Next, as the week begins, allow your children to begin crafting the Tenebrae at-home candle wraps and decide when you will hold your at-home service. This download includes the Scripture readings, prayers, and bonus votive candle wraps that can be used to pray a Tenebrae Service at home as a family. You will love reviving this traditional service in your home!

For Good Friday, print your Good Friday Gospel Coloring Companion and bring it to Good Friday Service so kids can follow along during the longggg Gospel. And since the Gospel the same every Good Friday, you can reuse this download for years!
