It all started when Caitlin’s 7-year-old son looked at her and said, “Mom, how do we know God is real? What if He isn’t?”

After her initial panic, Caitlin tried to explain St. Thomas Aquinas’ Five Proofs for the Existence of God…and realized she needed a way to break down these concepts so a young boy could understand.

Well, long story short (no pun intended), Caitlin sat down and wrote a book to help kids ages 8-12 years old understand how we KNOW God exists using St.Thomas Aquinas’ Five Proofs for the Existence of God.

Detective Thomas and the Biggest Question

Kids join middle school detective Thomas on his quest to solve his biggest mystery yet to prove that God exists!

One Dad told us, “Got this book for my daughter (11) who is an avid reader. We had a great conversation afterward on the proofs for the existence of God. This book definitely helped her really grasp the arguments and made an easy and fun introduction to this important topic. She says she would highly recommend this book to her friends (and I would too based on the understanding she gained!). Thank you for such a great help in introducing this topic!”

Another Dad said, “The format of this book, with digestible chapters, breaks for discussion, and engaging illustrations, makes for a fun and accessible approach for children and their parents to enjoy and understand St. Thomas Aquinas’s reasoning behind the existence of God. I’ve not seen anything in Catholic children’s literature that comes close to the quality of tone and structure. It’s catechesis and apologetics through quality storytelling, and this is definitely in the ‘read and re-read’ category. By the end of the book, you and your child will be left with another big question: Why don’t we have more books like this for children?!?

Dear God Books

Don’t miss out on adding these books to your collection–they are especially great for summer reading!

This Catholic fiction novel introduces us to Aaron, a 6th grader who experiences a crisis in faith when his family moves to North Dakota. Author Patti Maguire Armstrong addresses those questions that young adults face when prayers aren’t answered in a time of adversity―most importantly, “Is He even listening?”

One Dad told us, “I love the way Patti Armstrong used the themes of redemptive suffering, dying to self, and forgiveness and weaved them into a heartwarming story any young adult would enjoy and relate to. My ten-year-old learned valuable lessons on honesty, intent, and how heroic sacrifice is what brings true peace to one’s conscience and joy to one’s life. Even in the most unexpected circumstances. A must read for any young adult and a helpful way for parents to point to theological truths that can be difficult for teenagers to embrace and understand. Reading this book with your child is a great way to introduce them to the deeper beauty of the Catholic faith on their individual journey.”

Another mom told us, “My 11-year-old son absolutely LOVED this book. He is gifted and reads at college level, and he read this book TWICE in just a few days time. In his own words, ‘The book is AWESOME and I LOVE it!'”

Clare’s Costly Cookie

Nine-year-old Clare, in her inimitable way, models for children that following Jesus Christ and striving for true holiness are worth any cost. With spirit and spunk, she demonstrates for young readers that living the holy Catholic faith is not only exciting but better than gooey, warm chocolate chip cookies.

A mom told us, “I really liked this story! And so does my 7-year-old. I wasn’t at all sure what to expect from the title, and to find a young girl using prayer to deal with her daily struggles was heartening. Sibling issues, temptations, selfish impulses, and also learning/explaining Catholic routines and practices.”

Another mother agreed, saying, “My daughter and I loved this book so much that I started buying it as a gift for others to enjoy too! Thank you for the opportunity to share this!!”
