What this book is NOT (from a Mom of 8)
As Raising Chaste Catholic Men: Practical Advice, Mom to Mom quickly becomes the run away best-seller of this summer, author and mother of eight Leila Miller shares some insight into what made her write this expanded second edition:

[UPDATED] We finally figured out the phone thing with our LAST child (moral: don’t be like us)
With eight children, you would think we would have figured out the phone thing before now.
We tried so many things—but when it came to needing a phone for Caroline, we were still stumped. She is the youngest we have ever considered getting a phone for, but with her recently being accepted to a youth orchestra as a cellist, she needed a way to reach us when she is at rehearsals.
After more research, we have finally found a solution!
How to Read our NEW Wordless Book
My newest Catholic children’s book is…wordless!
Now, perhaps you are wondering what the purpose of a wordless book is? Does it count as “reading”?
Let me tell you why wordless books are so important AND give you some tips for sharing them with your kids!
How to Use Holy Heroes in Your Parish
Have you wondered how to utilize Holy Heroes resources in your parish? Here is a quick “cheat sheet” of how you can!
Hey, could you do us a favor and forward this to your pastor or parish DRE or a Catholic teacher? They may find something that peaks their interest!
Highly recommend–helped me reclaim short car time I would have wasted
We moms & dads spend a lot of time driving for pick-ups and drop-offs, not just actually driving but also sitting in the car waiting….and sometimes waiting and waiting.
I found that the last swim meet weekend was made very valuable to me by listening to the short saint talks in this new online series. In fact, I took NOTES on many of the talks–they were that good.
For Kids & Parents: Activities for the Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn [coloring page]
This month (and especially on January 22nd) we are praying for the legal protection of unborn children.
To help you participate in this national day of prayer, we have compiled a range of resources so that whatever the ages of your kids or however busy your schedule, you can find a way to pause and pray for the unborn!
[Interview] New pre-reader: Inspired by our puppy, rubber ducks, and wordless books!
Our NEW picture book is arriving this week from the printers!
We are so excited to unveil something unlike anything we have ever done!
While I knew I wanted to create another Sacred Art book in the future (it’s underway!), I was looking for something a little different to work on leading up to Christmas…
Don’t have time for a marriage retreat? Neither do we (so here’s an idea)
While running a family business and raising 8 children, it seems like life is always “too busy” for something like a marriage retreat.
Even with just a few kids left at home, growing demands of the business, grandbabies wanting to visit (yay!), and daily life mean that a traditional weekend marriage retreat is probably not happening for us during this stage of life.
So this is what we are doing for our marriage this month.
The Good News about a Very Bad Topic
I’ve been procrastinating about writing this post for a couple months now. It’s a distasteful topic, frankly.
Distasteful, but very important to address for our children.
I put it off so much that finally I was pushed to do it–and your family can benefit from my procrastination if YOU do NOT procrastinate. (I’ll explain what I mean, below.)

Now that the Bible in a Year podcast is coming to a close, have you wondered what you are going to listen to next?
What if there was ANOTHER resource created by Jeff Cavins that could help you continue to grow in your knowledge of the Catholic faith?
