Books I am packing for college: 2nd installment
Two years ago, my sister Anna wrote a blog post about the books she and Trey were taking to the first year at college (they graduated at the same time).
Now, I am about to leave for college and I wanted to share the 4 books (one is part of a series) I am bringing with me:

“My aim is confidence and peace”: one author’s goal to reassure worried moms
After our last blog on her book was read by thousands of Catholic moms within the first 24 hours, we asked Leila Miller, author of Raising Chaste Catholic Boys, if she could share more about her book and the goal of her writings.
Here is her advice to younger moms currently raising young Catholic boys: “We are told that it’s all very complicated and complex, and that it’s almost impossible to keep kids innocent and chaste. But that’s a lie designed to get you to despair…”

Featuring Sts. Joachim and Ann with the Child Jesus, this is a beautiful way for you to show your grandparents the important role they play in helping their grandchildren get to Heaven!
His healing was the final miracle needed for Kateri Tekakwitha’s canonization…but he also saw Heaven!
Almost a decade ago, my sister and I had the opportunity to interview Jake Finkbonner, whose healing at 5 years old was attributed to then Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha (the final miracle needed for her canonization 2012).
While the healing alone from a flesh-eating bacteria was a truly miraculous event, perhaps even more miraculous was Jake’s visit to Heaven, which he remembered and shared with his parents after waking up from his medically induced coma.
In honor of St. Kateri’s feast day tomorrow, we wanted to share part of our interview with Jake and his descriptions of Heaven:
How to instill a disposition of sacrifice in your children

This is a common struggle for families, especially large ones where daily sacrifices of individuals are so necessary in making the home run smoothly.
Rather than focusing on the sacrifices themselves, focus on these four virtues to create a disposition of sacrifice in your children:
