Moms & Dads spend so much time in the car driving kids around…long trips, waiting in parking lots, and even the short trips around town…it is so easy to waste these minutes on distractions.
This Lent, think how much good it would do to reclaim that time for Christ–by making it truly productive prayer time, not just “go through the motions” prayer time!
Last year we did research with 287 Moms asking what would help them manage the kids in the car so the entire family could be involved in prayer (no whining, all ages, all attention spans, from the front of the car to the back!).
NOW: the results of our research is a new product that is flexible and complete so you can suit your own family’s needs.
Ken hopped in the car yesterday and made this video below to show you can use it to reclaim car time for Lent (inspired by the 287 Moms who shared their tips!):
Last year, we asked hundreds of Catholic parents to share what they would like in a “family prayer kit for the car.”
We had preconceived ideas (from living the life!), but we learned a lot more than we expected by getting other Catholic families to chime in with their practices and lessons-learned.
It is so easy to get in a rut over the years, and so refreshing to share ideas! (Watch the video!)
You can order our Holy Heroes Family Prayer kit with the button right here.
In our research: We also received one interesting bit of feedback concerning some products we already had–but we had designed them for the HOME and not the CAR!
Several families said they loved using our Mysteries of the Holy Rosary and Stations of the Cross posters full-sized posters at home. They wanted to know if there was some way to make them more convenient to bring them on the road!
Well, now you can! Introducing our Prayer Card Set.
A Prayer Card Set is a smaller version of our Rosary and Stations Posters ins a smaller size to the FIT SMALL HANDS and LESS SPACE in the car, but still large enough to see the details in the classic sacred art.
PLUS: we included cards for additional car-ride prayers (including the rosary prayers in English & Latin) in every Family Prayer Kit!
Looking for a way to pray the Stations of the Cross this Lent?
Pray it in the car and have your kids use the Prayer Card Set to focus on each Station!

Why did you choose to make an flash drive vs cd? I don’t have a USB port in my 2010 Sienna…
The flash drive holds everything that we already have available on CDs, so you can purchase the CDs separately if that’s what you’d like. Most of the stereos also have USB ports over the past decade or so. Unfortunately, given the capacity constraints of a CD (only about an hour), you’ll need to purchase multiple CDs. You can find all our prayers CDs at https://holyheroes.com/collections/holy-heroes-audio (go to HolyHeroes.com and use the menu link along the top for “audio”) and the dropdown menus will also take you to the music CDs, Glory Stories, etc. I’m impressed that your 2010 stereo still works: we’ve had to replace every one in our cars/vans (including the 1999 Honda and 2001 Ram van), and they all had CD players PLUS a USB port that we use for the flash drive now!
