Did you know that St. Michael is the patron saint of police officers?

Fr. Steve Gallagher knows how important it is for police officers to have spiritual support by calling on heavenly aid. He was himself a policeman for 30 years before turning in his badge–the sign of one calling–for a Roman collar–the sign of his new one. He has been a Catholic priest since 2011.

As a priest, he knew that he wanted to support his fellow police officers spiritually and from this conviction, created A Police Officer’s Devotional.

Here is what Officers have shared with us about this devotional:

I carry this Devotional every day in my Beat Bag to remind me of my own faith and relationship with God.  It also reminds me that I’m never alone and am always watched over, especially in these difficult times. I often will just pull over, open to a random page and read a prayer.  Especially at the end of those difficult days or calls. Thank You…Fr. Steve for giving those of us who either love a Cop or who are still on the JOB a resource to remember and celebrate both our faith and calling to serve our communities.”

Don’t know a police officer?
