On this week’s episode of the Holy Heroes Podcast, I share tips for bringing kids to adoration!

After last week’s episode about the Patroness of First Communicants and this week’s insights offered by Blessed Carlo Acutis, adoration is the perfect way to develop a love for the Eucharist in even the smallest children!

You can listen to this week’s entire episode below or scroll for a written list of tips for bringing kids to adoration:

I have a toddler and adoration can be a daunting task. But I agree with something Blessed Carlo said: “by standing before the Eucharistic Christ, we become holy.”

To help you bring your children to adoration, here are a few tips:

  • Prep kids before you arrive
    • Go over what they CAN and CANNOT do during adoration.
  • Keep the adoration visit SHORT
    • This is not the visit for a full holy hour! I usually try to keep our visits to no more than 10 minutes.
  • Bring (quiet) snacks and water bottles
    • Raisins are a quiet snack that is great for adoration! Avoid things like crackers or apples that can become loud when toddlers are eating them.
  • Pack coloring, stickers, books, or quiet toys
  • Go with friends
    • Coordinate with another family so kids can sit together.
  • Celebrate with a little treat!
    • You can go to the park with friends or pick something sweet up on the way home!
