May 30 is Day 8 of our Novena to Mary, Mother of the Church. We will be praying the Fourth Glorious Mystery of the Rosary and meditating on the Assumption of Mary into Heaven.

You can pray with just your family, or you can pray with us by clicking the two videos below.

Let’s get started!

Leader: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

All: Amen

Leader: “For the Son of man is to come with His angels in the glory of His Father, and then He will repay every man for what he has done. Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the Son of man coming in His kingdom.” (Matthew 16:27-28 RSV)

All pause for silent meditation, then pray the Fourth Glorious Mystery.

Then pray the prayer to Mary, Mother of the Church (from the conclusion of the encyclical Lumen Fidei). Pray with us by clicking the video–the words are in the video or you can print them off below.

Anna leads the prayer

Mother, help our faith!

Open our ears to hear God’s word and to recognize His voice and call.

Awaken in us a desire to follow in His footsteps, to go forth from our own land and to receive His promise.

Help us to be touched by His love, that we may touch Him in faith.

Help us to entrust ourselves fully to Him and to believe in His love, especially at times of trial, beneath the shadow of the Cross, when our faith is called to mature.

Sow in our faith the joy of the Risen One.

Remind us that those who believe are never alone.

Teach us to see all things with the eyes of Jesus, that He may be light for our path. And may this light of faith always increase in us, until the dawn of that undying day which is Christ Himself, your Son, our Lord!  Amen.

Leader: Pray for us, Mary, Mother of the Church

All: That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Leader: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

All: Amen.
