Did you know there is a beautiful Catholic tradition of blessing your Easter Baskets?
While many of us do not have this opportunity offered at our local parish (though you should ask your priest if he could do it next year!), you can still do this practice at home! There are a few foods traditionally associated with Easter baskets (learn more about them here!), but you can include whatever celebratory foods your family plans for Easter!
The Canons Regular of St. John Cantius shared this at-home blessing for families who do not have an Easter Basket Blessing offered at their local parish:

You have probably heard of the Stations of the Cross, but have you heard of the Stations of the Resurrection?

While Catholics meditate on Christ’s Passion and Death during Lent through the Stations of the Cross, the Stations of the Resurrection offer meditations on the events from Easter Sunday through the entire Easter Season.
The Congregation for Divine Worship tells us that, “Using the metaphor of a journey, the Via Lucis moves from the experience of suffering, which in God’s plan is part of life, to the hope of arriving at man’s true end: liberation, joy and peace which are essentially paschal values.”
Our Stations of the Resurrection posters are a perfect companion to our Stations of the Cross posters. After Holy Week, you can replace your Stations of the Cross posters with these stunning Stations of the Resurrection posters. Such a wonderful way to tie the sorrowful events of Lent into the joy of the Easter Season!
As a perfect companion, we created a NEW Stations of the Resurrection prayer booklet so you can pray along with your posters! This full-color prayer booklet has everything you need to pray each Station this Easter Season!
