Here are the prayers for the fourth day of the Divine Mercy Novena, which falls on Easter Monday.

This is a specific novena which Jesus Himself dictated to Saint Faustina, requesting her to spread it to the whole world. Read more about it in our blog post here. You can pray it anytime, whether as part of a novena or just to pray. It is a wonderful practice to pray the chaplet at 3:00 pm on any day, in remembrance of Our Lord’s death on the Cross.

Today, we pray for “those who do not believe in God and those who do not yet know” Jesus.

Meditation for Day 4: How can I model Christ in my everyday actions?  What people, places, things, or events remind me of the love, mercy, and existence of God

The Divine Mercy Novena, Day 4

“Today bring to Me those who do not believe in God and those who do not yet know Me.”

Most compassionate Jesus, You are the Light of the whole world. Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of those who do not believe in God and of those who as yet do not know You. Let the rays of Your grace enlighten them that they, too, together with us, may extol Your wonderful mercy; and do not let them escape from the abode which is Your Most Compassionate Heart.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls of those who do not believe in You, and of those who as yet do not know You, but who are enclosed in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. Draw them to the light of the Gospel. These souls do not know what great happiness it is to love You. Grant that they, too, may extol the generosity of Your mercy for endless ages. Amen.

How to Pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet (using a Rosary):

  1. Begin with the Sign of the Cross.
  2. Say Our Father, Hail Mary, and The Apostles Creed.
  3. On the Our Father Beads say the following:
    • Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.
  4. On the 10 Hail Mary Beads say the following:
    • For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
  5. Repeat step 2 and 3 for all five decades.
  6. Repeat this prayer 3 times:
    • Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
  7. Conclude with this pray
    • O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us…I Trust in You!
